I didn’t believe for one second any of the Republican claims that their tax cuts would benefit anyone but the uber rich and corporations. I watched with horror as friends and the general public ate up the lies, thinking they would see any of the promises in their own dusty pockets. These people really thought that for once in all of our American history, the Republicans were looking after the regular people, their constituents. The experts were on every channel (except Fox) saying we would not see any savings or refunds. Still, voters ate up the piles of shit with a giant spoon and gave the lying Republicans their vote. So, while I was certainly pissed about owing taxes this year, I wasn’t the least bit surprised.

As people receive their paltry refunds or write out their tax checks, I hope they take a moment to reflect on the promises they had wholeheartedly believed:

Now, the big question to answer during tax season: will they change their vote now that they know, without a doubt, they were lied to or will the sheep continue to follow the wolves?
