I added shelves to the closets in the guest bedroom. I installed 1×3 board, using anchors, to give the shelving brackets a solid base. I painted the interiors of both closets, including the ceilings, a solid bright white.

I drilled, sawed, hammered, climbed, measured, glued, leveled, painted, carried, cussed, and cleaned.

I hit myself several times, once whacking my elbow so hard I had to stop working for a good 10 minutes. My ass is sore from climbing up and down. I’m bruised, my hands ache, and my back is killing me.

My biggest complaint? — the fact that I can’t tell which hairs have paint on them and which are just white.
